Associate Degree in Science
The Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology is a jointly offered program in which students will take their pre-requisite course work and general education course at Lansing Community College (LCC) and then complete the Veterinary Technology course work at Michigan State University.
A student wishing to complete an Associates Degree will earn their degree from Lansing Community College and earn a Certificate of Completion from Michigan State University.
While LCC does accept transfer credit towards the pre-requisite and general education courses, a student must still complete a total of 20 credit hours at LCC in order to be eligible to earn the Associate Degree.

The final semester of clinical clerkships is the unique feature of the MSU Veterinary Technology Program. They provide an opportunity for students to work in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital with licensed veterinary technicians, clinicians and veterinary students. We feel this prepares our students for the various types of clinical settings in which they may find employment.
MSU’s online course descriptions and schedule of courses will provide more detailed information for each of the courses listed above.
